Joe Vitale has a multi-faceted hair services background. From fashion and television to high-end salons, Joe brings over 25 years of expertise to every consult and treatment. Joe stays on the cutting-edge of hair care treatments and techniques, implementing new technologies as they are developed. He introduced Milbon Japanese Thermal Straightening and Relaxing System 15 years ago, becoming one of the first stylists in Manhattan to feature these superior techniques.
Joe was a team hairstylist for makeover segments for the Rikki Lake Show, and Montel Williams. Joe has also worked on magazine photo shoots, New York’s Fashion and Bridal Weeks and covers for several magazines including American Salon, MR, Modern Salon, American Spa, COVER and Sputnik Magazine. Joe has been hair stylist for Joy Behar, Martha Plimpton, Jon Cryer, Margo Martindale, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara to name a few of his high profile clientele.
JOE VITALE

A New York native born and raised in Brooklyn. Joseph’s styling savvy took root under the mentorship of John Dellaria of SOHO.
Joseph is one of the few highly accomplished stylists trained in the Pyrametrics Method®. This highly sought after technique uniquely contours the hair to the individual’s head shape achieving balance in hair volume, precision layering, natural shape, and an overall lasting style.
As a master stylist, he ensures that the client always look radiant. From special events like a wedding to a simple night out, Joseph displays a commitment to excellence and extraordinary technique.
JOSEPH PATTI

MARIKO MIYAGI
Stylist/Colorist
Originally from Okinawa Japan, Mariko’s interest in the beauty and fashion industry began in the late 1990’s while attending Japan’s Nihon University College of Art as a film major. After graduating she relocated to New York City and while working on an independent film she was asked by the director to do the hair and make-up for the film’s cast. It was at this moment that she realized her true calling.
Her keen eye, attention to detail and easy going attitude have earned her a well-respected place in the industry. She is the consummate professional in every situation.
Mariko currently lives in New York City and divides her time between salon and freelance work.
KAYO MOCHIZUKI
Stylist/Colorist
Kayo came to New York in the early 1990's from Japan where she was trained at Mod's Hair Shimuzu. Kayo stayed at Mod's Hair Shimuzu for 7 years before making her move to the big city. Upon arriving in New York, Kayo worked at Capelli Punto for 8 years and joined Jeffrey Stein in 2001. Now, Kayo joins Salon 84 to work with her former colleagues from Jeffrey Stein, Joseph Patti and Joe Vitale.
Kayo loves her work and feels so grateful to be working with her good friends again and to have the opportunity to make her clients look and feel good when they leave her chair.
LOUISA
Stylist/Colorist
Louisa transitioned from the Dance and Fitness World to one of Beauty. Louisa's dance and fitness background prepared her well for her new career. The discipline she mastered along with her precision and attention to detail were instrumental in her easily acquiring her license to style hair in New York City. She is known as a meticulous haircutter and colorist and specializes in men’s haircutting as well.
Louisa has done television makeovers, magazine editorials, and she has worked with a number of actors, dancers, musicians, and writers as well.
For the past 20 years, Louisa has made it her mission to create a safe environment - one of comfort and ease, for her new and loyal clients, always approaching them with -Please have a Seat!
